MANAGEMENT FELLOWS PROGRAM
The Management Fellows Program, established in 1986, annually selected a small number of state employees with strong management potential and provided them with training and development opportunities. Fellows participated in rotational assignments in agencies other than their own and joined a pool of qualified candidates for future management positions. From 1986-2001, 143 state employees graduated from the Fellows program and they continue to make significant contributions to the success of state government.
In 2002, with an increased demand for management training and a critical need for succession planning, Human Resource Management (HRM) established the Supervisory and Management Development Certificate programs. These programs now serve over 350 employees and have become the focus of HRM's management development initiatives.
Information on the certificate programs is available here:
The Directory of Fellows Alumni contains information about the 143 Fellows graduates and is used by agencies in need of talented individuals for management positions, special projects, task forces, and other assignments. It is also a resource for networking and information exchange between former Fellows graduates.
