Know Your State Government

Thank you for your interest in the online version of Know Your State Government. We hope you find the course informative and useful.

To begin your online training session: Print the following documents (you can print all by clicking the print button below) prior to beginning the course and have them with you as you complete the course. Scavenger Hunt Statewide Organization Chart Websites   Please print the above documents before beginning the online class   Complete the Scavenger Hunt (a document that you printed in step 1 above) as you learn about our state government. Click here to begin the Online Know Your State Government class Note: This class is best viewed in 1024 x 768 screen resolution – Instructions to change resolution   Complete the online course registration and evaluation by clicking on the link included in the "Final Directions" section of the online class.

You will receive credit for taking the online course once our office receives and reviews your Scavenger Hunt responses along with your online registration and evaluation. To receive credit, you must get at least 19 of the first 24 questions correct and enter the "About My Agency" portion of the Scavenger Hunt when you complete the online registration/evaluation.

Please note: You will be able to return to this online course in the future by clicking the course link above. This course is designed with both audio and narrated text. You can turn the sound on or off by using the controls at the bottom left of the online course window. You can click the "Read" button on the online course window to switch between the Table of Contents and the narrated text. A certificate is available for printing upon successful completion of the course. To print this certificate using "Landscape" orientation, click the "Print" button on the screen. Then click "Preferences" and make sure the orientation is set to landscape.

Certificate Program Participants:
Know Your State Government is either an elective or required course for the Management Development Certificate and the Human Resource Management Certificate Programs. If you wish to have this course count for your certificate program, you must also submit your course notes to the certificate program manager.
