Know Your State Government
  Know Your State Government provides a look at the organization and functions of Delaware State Government. This session presents an overview of the three branches of government and how they are interrelated, with a primary focus on the Executive Branch of Government. The Budget process is outlined and discussed.
 
Making the Most of Your Time with Outlook
  Making the Most of Your Time with Outlook is an online course designed to show you some of the ways to get the most out of your time with your email program. This resource guides you through using Voting Buttons, Scheduling Meetings, Finding Emails Quickly, Organizing your Tasks, Using a Signature, Creating Rules, and Sorting Your Messages.
 
Tools for Office 2007
  Tools for Office 2007 is an online course designed to show you some of the ways to increase your productivity by providing an overview of the tools and shortcuts available in Office 2007 applications. This course focuses on Excel and Word providing quick tips and tools along with step by step instructions for creating electronic forms, control/run charts, Pareto and histograms, and pivot tables. This course may be taken as a stand-alone or as the online component of the Work Process Improvement Tools and Techniques course. Please note: This course is intended of users of Office 2007. A separate course is available for users of Office 2003 or earlier versions of Office. We have developed two separate courses due to the significant differences between Office 2007 and earlier versions.

For Supervisors, Managers & Certificate Participants
HR Basics
This course provides an overview of human resource policies and procedures as prescribed by the Merit Rules, and the Delaware Code. You will learn about merit employee benefits, leave administration, hiring, and where to go for assistance on HR related issues. Some of the other topics include workplace expectations; ethics, safety and security, probationary periods, performance plans and performance reviews. This is a required course for the Management Development, Supervisory Development, and Human Resource Certificate Programs. Begin this course.
 
Sexual Harassment Prevention
What is sexual harassment? How do you recognize it and prevent it from occurring? Where is the line drawn between acceptable social behavior and sexual harassment? This program is designed to answer these questions and more. Besides providing an awareness of the legal definition and different types of sexual harassment, the program will cover legal background, federal guidelines, as well as the State of Delaware's policy on sexual harassment. Begin this course.

The Supervisor's Role
This course is intended for current and those aspiring to be supervisors. Participants will learn the evolution of supervision, the qualities of a good supervisor, the critical functions and needs of supervision, and things to consider when supervising others. Begin this course.
 
AA/EEO
This course provides supervisors and aspiring supervisors with information about Affirmative Action, the role of the Governor's Council on Equal Employment Opportunity, and the scope of diversity and its value as a management tool. Begin this course.
 
The Hiring Process
Selection Interviewing Class
This course is intended for hiring managers, interview panel members, HR professionals, and HR Certificate Participants.
We now have an Online Selection Interviewing Class available for Hiring Managers and those serving on interview panels. By completing this online tutorial, you will understand the purpose of interviewing, how to develop interview questions, what questions to avoid, how to determine the best candidate, and more. Human Resource Certificate (HRC) participants can access this course through the HRC restricted website. Non-HRC participants should send an email to Statewide_Training@state.de.us with the subject: Selection Interviewing Online Class Access Request. Once you send the email, you will receive instructions to access the course.
